A pretty green brooch in Swedish embroidery, presented in a mini embroidery hoop to create a small graphic and contemporary textile accessory.
The pattern is made on a Zweigart Fein Aida fabric with DMC mouliné thread 898. The embroidery is worked with the thread doubled to give more presence to the pattern and to highlight its structure on the fabric.
The design is based on a regular succession of small horizontal and vertical lines. Their orientation alternates from one group to another and gradually creates a weaving effect that is particularly interesting and characteristic of the spirit of Swedish embroidery.
The repetition of the pattern forms a balanced geometric composition that fills the circle of the mini hoop. The choice of a single color highlights the construction of the design and the rhythm created by the changes in direction of the stitches.
This creation shows that with a simple technique and a single color, Swedish embroidery can achieve a very graphic and decorative result.
Once finished, the embroidery is presented in a round mini hoop of 5.5 cm, which becomes a true small frame for the embroidery and allows the piece to be transformed into a brooch.
To be worn on a jacket, coat, scarf, or bag, this small creation allows for a reinterpretation of traditional Swedish embroidery in the form of a unique and easy-to-personalize textile accessory.
