Quaker ball

A lovely Quaker ball in Swedish embroidery, made from geometric patterns that are embroidered and then assembled to create a decorative three-dimensional piece.

The embroidery is worked on extra fine Aïda fabric. The outlines of the hexagons are first done in back stitch before embroidering the patterns. The piece is then enhanced with golden cups and small beads, which add relief, light, and elegance to the whole.

The different embroidered pieces are gradually assembled to form two parts, which are then joined and filled with padding to achieve the final shape of the ball.

This model allows for the discovery of an original and contemporary interpretation of Swedish embroidery, combining thread work, beads, and sequins in a three-dimensional piece.
