Y E S

An original and contemporary creation in Swedish embroidery, composed of three motifs forming the letters Y, E, and S.

Each letter appears through the play of stitches and the spaces left in the embroidery. The lines and geometric patterns characteristic of Swedish embroidery thus become true graphic elements and gradually reveal the letters at the heart of each piece.

The three embroideries are made on a Zweigart Belfast canvas with Soie 1003 d'Au Ver à Soie®, used in double. This silk brings finesse and elegance to the motifs and allows for playing with different color harmonies.

Each letter has its own composition: the Y is worked in a single shade, the E in a delicate gradient of mauves, and the S in a combination of red and green.

Once completed, the three embroideries are placed in hoops of different diameters, used here as frames. Presented together on a wall, they create an original, graphic, and decidedly contemporary decoration.

This model allows you to discover another facet of Swedish embroidery, by repurposing this technique traditionally used for household linens to create a true wall decoration.
