A delicate Swedish embroidery necklace, in which a miniature embroidery is highlighted inside a small hoop to become a true textile jewel.
The pattern is made on a Zweigart Fein Aida fabric with DMC Diamant D3852 thread used double. The metallic appearance of the thread adds subtle reflections to the embroidery and is particularly well-suited for this creation intended to be worn as jewelry.
The Swedish embroidery forms the structure of the pattern, which is then enhanced with 11/0 beads, 4 mm tubes, and 3 mm cups. The interplay between the different shapes and materials adds depth and light to this miniature composition.
The decorative elements are arranged in various ways: some tubes are secured with a running stitch, the beads are aligned to form small lines, and the cups are held in place by a bead in their center. In the upper part of the pattern, the combination of a bead, a tube, and a second bead creates an elongated decorative element.
Once finished, the small embroidery is placed in a oval mini embroidery hoop of 2.7 × 4.5 cm, which directly becomes the pendant of the necklace.
This creation perfectly illustrates a contemporary interpretation of Swedish embroidery: traditional geometric patterns are here combined with beads and shiny elements to create a refined and original little jewel.
