Les cache pots de fleur

Two lovely flower pots in Swedish embroidery, to combine embroidery and plant decoration in an original and contemporary creation.

This model offers two versions with very different styles: one pot made from Zweigart Domino beige fabric and a second from Zweigart Domino black fabric. The geometric patterns are embroidered with Saint-Pierre wool and play with the contrasts between the color of the base and that of the threads.

On the beige fabric, two colors alternate to form a graphic pattern arranged in bands. On the black fabric, two other shades create a geometric decor particularly visible against the dark background. The two versions thus allow for very different effects from the same embroidery principle.

The Domino fabric is particularly interesting for this project: it does not require a lining and the passage of the thread under the stitches remains invisible on the reverse side of the work.

After the embroidery, the fabric is assembled to form the pot. The instructions detail the creation of the base as well as the edge finishes, which are different for the beige and black versions.

A decorative creation that once again shows how Swedish embroidery can leave traditional household linen to integrate into a more modern interior decoration.
