The Miyuki Delica beads are an essential reference in the world of Japanese seed beads. Made in Japan with exceptional precision, they are valued for their perfectly regular cylindrical shape, which ensures impeccable alignment and a particularly flat finish.
The Delica 11/0 measure approximately 1.6 mm in diameter and 1.3 mm in height. Their large hole facilitates the passage of multiple threads, making them ideal for Peyote, Brick Stitch, loom weaving, as well as bead embroidery.
Thanks to their manufacturing quality and wide range of colors, they allow for the creation of finely detailed designs, both in jewelry and art embroidery.
The Duracoat Opaque Dyed finish combines an opaque color applied to a bead base with the exclusive technology Duracoat® developed by Miyuki.
The colors Opaque Dyed offer particularly rich, intense, and varied shades. As the color is applied to the surface, it may, over time, alter due to repeated friction, contact with skin, cosmetics, or certain chemicals.
To enhance their durability, Miyuki applies a protective coating Duracoat®, which effectively protects the color from wear and prolongs its longevity. This finish is particularly appreciated for jewelry and creations intended for regular wear.
Note: the Duracoat® coating slightly reduces the diameter of the bead hole. It is therefore advisable to take this into account when choosing the needle and thread, especially if multiple passes are necessary.
