The Gobelins Silk™ from Au Ver à Soie® is a pure silk thread, made in France by the house Au Ver à Soie, a specialist in silk threads for over 180 years.

Composed of 2 strongly twisted strands, it is distinguished by its intense shine, flexibility, and great regularity. Its twist gives it good hold and allows it to be easily worked as a single thread. Pleasant to the needle, it twists little during embroidery.

The Gobelins Silk is suitable for many needlework projects and allows for fine, regular, and luminous embroidery.

Usage advice: for hand embroidery, it is recommended to work with a thread length of about 45 cm maximum, in order to limit the abrasion of the silk and maintain its shine.
